Chesa Canggu
Dear Valued Guests,
Greetings from Chesa Canggu, a new way to stay.
The Balinese Hindus do not celebrate the coming of the new year of Saka calendar with lavish party; they celebrate it with meditation instead. No activities are allowed to take place. These mandatory religious prohibitions include no pleasure (amatilelangon), no traffic (amatilelungan), no fire (amatigeni) and no work (amatikarya).
This year, Nyepi Day falls on Monday, 11 March 2024.
Rituals will be held over 3 days, from Sunday 10 March to Tuesday 12 March. On Nyepi Day, we will not be able to accept any check-in nor check-out throughout the day.
Here are the rules during Nyepi Day:
As we are a boutique hotel, the government permits us to service our guests but with activities that are limited with reduced lighting and minimal noise on our premises including at Thara Kitchen & Bar and lobby.
One day before Nyepi, Pengerupukan Day, you are welcome to enjoy a ritual Ogoh-Ogoh parade performed by our local banjar / villagers on Sunday 10 March 2024 before dinner time.
We look forward to welcoming you to our Hotel and have a pleasant stay on the peaceful Day of Silence.
